  • THAT Foodbank

    Published 09/11/24

Please pass our thanks to all those who contributed to your Harvest Festival donation.  We are most grateful for your support.  It is lovely to know that your pupils realise that there is need in their local area and responded in such a positive way.

We had a busy summer providing lunch bags for children who usually received school dinners, in addition to our usual provision of food, hygiene and cleaning packs, gas & electricity top-ups and home start packs.

As you know we rely on volunteers who donate their time freely and shops, organisations and individuals who donate items/money to enable us to help those in food poverty in the local area.

Should any of the families within your school require assistance please do refer them to us and we’ll be happy to support them.

    With grateful thanks

It is the time of year to celebrate and share our harvest, and we would again like to make a collection for our local food bank.

If you are able to support this very worthy cause, the items the food bank is especially in need of include the following:

    · Coffee · Sugar · Orange squash · Cereals · Baked beans · Tinned tomatoes · UHT milk · Tinned fruit · Gravy powder · Shaving foam · Disposable razors · Men’s shower gel · Shampoo · Men’s roll-on deodorant · Rice pudding · Tinned/Powered custard · Anti-bac hand soap · Washing-up liquid · Scourer sponges · J-cloths · Washing Powder · Dishwasher tablets · Toothbrushes · Toothpaste

Please could donations be non-perishable items (tinned, packet or dried items), rather than fresh fruit or vegetables, and be in-date.

Please send in any donations by Friday, 18th October.

As always, we thank you for your continued support and generosity.

    Jeans for Genes Day 2024

On Friday 20th September 2024, all children and staff at Kingskerswell C of E Primary School celebrated and fundraised for the charity Jeans for Genes.

It was fantastic to see so many members of our school community donating to charity to wear their jeans or denim clothing to school.

The day as a whole was a huge success and we are delighted to announce that as a school we raised £333! Thank you for your kind donations and support for such a worthy cause.
